For all you soccer fans you all know Kristine Lilly is pregnant and is not playing in 2008, and is still deciding wether to play next year, but for all of you people who don't know who Kristine Lilly is she has been will the US Womens National Team from 1986-2008, she is the most capped player to ever be on the National Team. She has played in 5 world cups, and 2 olympics.
Kristine really was a awesome player who contributed so much to the game of Soccer. She is part of a group called the '91ers' (Mia Hamm, Julie Foudy, Kristine Lilly, Brandi Chastain and Joy Fawcett) who have been together since the first world cup in '91 and they are the pioneers of womens athletcis, they changed soccer for women in America were women are not only treated as athletes now but also gave so many opportunitys for young girls out there for a profession in Soccer.
This is a short blog but I just thought I'd let you guys know a little bit about her. She will be missed very much!
